Sharing Projects
You can share your project with other members of your research team so they can help coordinate your study while you stay in control of the project. On this page, you will find information about:
Invite a collaborator
The project owner and collaborators with Read + Write access can invite collaborators.
Open your project and navigate to the Collaborate tab (the share icon). Click Invite your first collaborator. Once your project has collaborators, click Invite Collaborator instead.

Fill in the Invite Collaborator form:
- Collaborator's Email: The email address of the person you'd like to invite. If they already have an Inclivio account, use the address they sign in with.
- Email when a new participant enrolls: Toggle this on if this collaborator should get an email whenever a participant enrolls in your project.
- Permissions: Choose Read Only or Read + Write. See permissions below.
- Messaging Access: Choose whether this collaborator can view and send messages to your participants. See messaging access below.

Click Invite. Your collaborator appears in the list on the Collaborate tab, and Inclivio emails them to let them know the project was shared with them.

Permissions
- Read Only: Your collaborator can view your project's settings, participant list, and schedules, but cannot make any changes to the study. Choose this if you want them only to monitor study progress.
- Read + Write: Your collaborator can view and change your project, and can invite other collaborators. Choose this if you want them involved in running the study. The list on the Collaborate tab shows this level as Full Access.
Whatever their permissions, collaborators cannot delete your project, and billing for the project stays with you as the owner.
Messaging access
If your project uses participant messaging, you can decide separately whether each collaborator takes part. These controls do not change the collaborator's permissions.
- Can view messages: Your collaborator can read your participants' conversations.
- Can send messages: Your collaborator can also send messages and react to messages.
Messaging can only be turned on for a collaborator who has an Inclivio account and has signed in to it. The form tells you whether messaging is available for the email address you entered. If it isn't yet, you can still invite them. Once they have signed in, open their entry on the Collaborate tab and turn messaging on.
What your collaborator sees
Your collaborator receives an email titled A project was shared with you on Inclivio, followed by your project's name. Once they sign in, your project appears on their Projects page, with their access level in the Access Level column.
If your collaborator doesn't have an Inclivio account yet, they can create one for free. They must sign up with the same email address you invited, and your project will be waiting for them when they sign in.

Change or remove access
On the Collaborate tab, click the collaborator you'd like to change.
To change their notifications, permissions, or messaging access, make your changes and click Update.
To stop sharing your project with them, click Remove Access and confirm. They will no longer see your project.
