Welcome to Inclivio! This guide will help you set up your account and launch your first research project. Inclivio is designed to make creating, managing, and collecting data for research studies simple and efficient.

1. Create Your Account

To get started, navigate to the Sign Up page. Select I am a researcher to create a researcher account.

Note: you can still participate in studies, including your own, with a researcher account.

2. Create Your First Project

Projects are the core of Inclivio. A project contains all your surveys, schedules, and participants.

Note: creating projects, building schedule, enrolling participants, and inviting collaborators is free-of-charge
  1. From the Dashboard, click Projects in the left sidebar
  2. Click the Create New Project button
  3. Enter a unique project name. Your participants and collaborators will see this name. You can change this later. Learn more about anonymous projects here.

3. Fund your project

To send pings, your project needs to be funded by a license. Each license covers a set number of studies for a set term, with unlimited app and email pings and an allowance of SMS and WhatsApp pings. Project owners are responsible for their project's funding. Collaborators are not able to view or change project funding.

  1. Navigate to Billing > Licenses. Click Start free trial to try Inclivio with your study, or click Add a license and we will tailor one to your research.
  2. Open your project, go to its Funding tab, and choose your license. A project is funded by one license at a time. A license another researcher has shared with you can be chosen here too.
  3. Click Save Changes. Your project can now send pings.
Note: a trial's 14 days begin when you start it, not when you attach it to a project. Set up your project first to get the most out of it.
